Efficient and reliable hot water systems
Unvented cylinders are the modern solution for your hot water needs. Unlike traditional systems, an unvented cylinder operates at mains pressure, meaning you’ll experience high water pressure and an unlimited supply of hot water without the need for a cold water tank.
Perfect for large households or properties with multiple bathrooms, unvented cylinders provide consistent water pressure for showers, taps, and baths.

Is an unvented cylinder right for you?
Many homeowners want to get rid of their traditional boiler – with its vented cylinder – because the water tank in the attic takes up a lot of space and it delivers weak water pressure. With the exception of some older properties with old pipework which cannot take higher water pressure, most people have a couple of alternatives to consider:
1. Combi boiler
If you live in a property with one bathroom, you may be able to remove your vented cylinder and water tank in the attic and install a combi boiler instead. A combi boiler is an all-in-one unit which produces hot water and heating on demand.
2. Unvented cylinder
If you live in a larger property with two or more bathrooms, and lots of inhabitants, it may be better to install a system boiler with an unvented cylinder.
Unvented cylinder maintenance
Unvented hot water cylinders require an annual inspection of the key safety devices. The cylinder installed in your property is a pressurised container and will require regular maintenance just like a gas boiler.
Have you had your annual check?
Your annual check must be carried out by a qualified engineer. It validates your manufacturer’s warranty and guarantees the cylinder operates efficiently in compliance with industry guidance and Building Regulations.
